Windows 10: Windows Restart Issues

Hi,


Recently, I recieved a notification from Settings on my Windows 10 laptop telling me that "It's time to restart".


This has obviously been sent to me before and always been carried out quickly, but this update had some issues.


When I clicked on restart, it got stuck in the "Restarting" screen and has been like this for almost an hour or two.


I've tried hard restarting it and shutting it off through the power button, but the lights just start blinking.


It's charging at the moment and I can't remove any if the components. None of the keys work either and all I can do is just move the mouse around. Can someone help me out please?

Hard drive/ OS issue

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
