Windows 10: Windows Security screen appears completely black

For some time now, whenever I attempt to open Windows Security, the screen appears completely black, and I cannot access any of its functions. I have tried all possible troubleshooting steps to resolve this issue, including but not limited to: - Restarting my computer. - Updating my graphics drivers. - Running Windows Security in Safe Mode. - Performing a System File Checker SFC and DISM scan. - Resetting the Windows Security app. - Reinstalling the app through PowerShell. - Performing a clean boot. - Even going so far as to perform a complete reinstall of Windows. I would appreciate you for trying troubleshooting steps.

To understand the issue better, I request you to answer few questions:

• Does black screen appear when you before user login’s or after user has logged in ?
  
• Does black screen appears when you lock your pc?

This problem occurs because of a change in the behavior of Win Logon and Logon UI. This change introduces the potential for the deadlock.

I would also suggest you to install all the updates available for the system and check if it helps.

Follow the Below steps:

• Type settings in the Search area on the taskbar and select Settings
• Select Update and Security.
• Click on Windows Update and select Check for Updates

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
