Windows 10: Windows self repair starts on its own and now keyboards will not work

Discus and support Windows self repair starts on its own and now keyboards will not work in Windows 10 Installation and Upgrade to solve the problem; Turned on my windows 10 HP and now screen froze.     Turned on my windows 10 HP and now screen froze. So I cut it off and on. Now it said it was doing a self repair. Well now its not doing anything. And all of a sudden the keyboard quit working. Changed it to do a recovery and the others arent working either

  2. Self-configured keyboard?

    Hi,

    Thank you for your interest in Windows 10.

    I suggest you to follow the steps below to configure the keyboard layout:


    • Open Settings and click on Time and Language.

    • Click on Region and Language.

    • Add the Country and click on add a language and select the language of your choice.

    • This will take time to download the pack.

    • Once this is done, Press Windows key + Space and press Space key to choose the keyboard layout.

    Are you able to follow them?
    In post 29 was the suggested dism repair command.

    Keyboard Not working in Windows 10

    Hi,

    We would suggest you to update your keyboard driver. To update your keyboard driver, follow the steps below:

    • Click the Start button, type "device manager" in the search box, and then select Device Manager.
    • In the list of hardware categories, look for Keyboards and then double-click it.
    • Click on the Keyboard tab and choose Update Driver, and then follow the instructions.
