  1. Windows store and apps totally broken

    Hi all,

I'm writing because i've a problem with windows store and all the windows apps. One day all my windows apps stopped working, crashing on launch, so I tried to restore them from the "app properties" page, and they started working again for a while, but after 1 2 days everything broke again. So I went on the settings page of the store, and tried to restore it, but now it disappeared. I can see it from the start menu, but it doesn't work, and it's not present in the application list. I've tried to restore all apps through PowerShell, I've tried everything on the net, but it didn't help. I've also created a new user account and done an in-place upgrade, but nothing to do. I've also tried to copy the folder inside WindowsApps folder from a new Windows ISO, and nothing happens. It's impossible to install the store because of an error something related to a package suspended.

How can i solve? Should I clean install windows or is there any quicker solution?

    Thanks a lot,

    Alessandro

    :)

Mail app will not open on 10041.

    Hello Adam,

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it. Windows store and apps totally broken :)

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

    • Open powershell as administrator
    • Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
    • Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

Mail app will not open on 10041.

    Hey Shawn,
I did that to no avail, then I ran WSReset.exe; now I'm good on all 3, Mail, Calendar and People! *Confused
    Go figure!

    Store app broken

    Last suggestion I have:

Try the control Panel Trouble shooter:
    Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Troubleshooting
    Press view all and select
    Windows Store apps

I'm not sure if this online trouble shooter works with Win10, but it is another thing you can try:
