Windows 10: Windows store app missing

On my desktop PC Windows 10 Pro. I am missing the Windows Store app, I have tried all the CMD and Powershell prompts that I have found as answers to re register, reinstall it etc, the files for the store are not anywhere on this PC, how it became uninstalled I don't know. None of the offered fixes has worked, I cannot dowload the Windows Store app from the Windows Store because I do not have the Windows Store app, ahhhhhgggghhhh! Calm down James. ho ho. So, I wanted the latest CNx video player for windows 10, available only from the Store, of course it would not download.....what to do? I was looking for answers on my Laptop no Windows store problems there and signed in to my Microsoft account where I could see both devices, my Desktop PC and my Laptop, it offered me the choice of downloading said CNx Video player to either device! I booted my desktop PC, signed in to my Microsoft account on there and kept it open. I went back to the laptop and opted to install CNx Player on my desktop device. Went back to the desktop ....wait for it.... saw nothing..


However .... at the next boot of my desktop PC I discovered that the CNx Player had indeed downloaded itself into my apps and was working. I may try to do the same with the Windows Store app, however I do not hold out too much hope for it.. Just this is a quick fix if you cannot get apps from the store on one of your devices, log into your Microsoft account on both at the same time and follow what I did above.. I will try to follow this up re theWindows store app.

Missing apps: Store, People, Photos, Games & Camera on upgrading to 10

Thanks for replying spunk. That's the 'alphabetical' list I was referring to, none of these apps are in that 'All apps' list. Any more suggestions?

Missing of Store & Camera

Hi,

Please follow the methods mentioned below:

Method 1:

I suggest that you reset the Windows Store cache as per the below mentioned steps and check:

• 
  Press Windows key
  and R key together to open the Run Window.
  
• 
  Type wsreset.exe
  and press Enter key for the command to execute.
  

Method 2:

• 
  You may try to run the in-built Windows Store app troubleshooter and check. Follow the steps:
  

• 
  Press Windows Key + X..
  
• 
  Click on Control Panel.
  
• 
  Select Troubleshooting.
  
• 
  On the left pane, click on View All.
  
• 
  Click on Windows Store apps to run the troubleshooter.
