Windows 10: Windows Store can't install apps, error 0x80080005

As it says in the title. Whenever I try to download any app from the store, the download goes on forever before eventually giving the error code 0x80080005.


I have tried every solution offered in this thread, none of which have worked. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry? Have you got the correct Tweaking .com's repair tool? Or followed the steps to the end where you actually do the numbered repairs?

It guides you through stages of preparation, then you perform the repairs in Safe Mode.

Of course, you can just go to Safe Mode, launch the program, and directly run the repairs, missing the preparation... not the best of ideas. It's designed to give you ways of going back if something goes wrong by creating a restore point, registry backup... then doing the repairs.
