Windows 10: Windows Store Crashes on Launch

Hi all. I've just reset my Windows 10 laptop (deleted all my files, etc.) and now the Windows Store crashes on launch (within a second or so).



I've tried the following solutions after looking up this issue and none of them solved it.

- Deleting local cache.

- Ensuring that the timezone and region are correct.

- Changing the DNS.

- Changing the preferred GPU to the integrated graphics card.

- Using Powershell to essentially fully reinstall the Store.

- Taking ownership of the WindowsApps folder.

- Ensuring that the Windows Updates service is running and Windows is up-to-date.

- Using a different user account (including the hidden Administrator account).



NOTE: I cannot see Microsoft Store in the "Apps" list under "Settings". Not sure why this is the case. The store shows up on my start menu and everything else.



Any help is greatly appreciated. There are multiple apps on the Microsoft Store that I've purchased that I'd like to install on this fresh Windows 10. Thank you!

I suggest you run rthdribl > http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/rthdribl_1_2.zip
Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

 

Windows Store crashes on launch

Thank you for getting back with a reply.

This issue may happen due to system file corruption. I suggest you to run System file checker. System File checker (SFC) scan is done to check if there are any corrupted system files that could be causing this issue. Kindly follow
the below given steps:

• Press Windows key + X, select
  Command prompt (Admin) to bring up elevated Command prompt.
• In Command prompt type sfc/scannow and press enter.
• Restart the computer.

If no corrupted system files were found in the previous state, then I suggest you to try the following steps:

• Open command prompt by pressing Windows key + X and selecting “Command prompt admin”.
• In command prompt, type the following commands and press Enter after each command:

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

• Close the command prompt and restart the PC and check if it works.

Unable to launch Microsoft Store and Microsoft store apps.

I understand how it could be when the applications doesn’t work as they are supposed to. We will look into this. However, please reply to the following questions to help you in a better way:

• Are you getting any error message?
  
• Since when are you facing this issue?
  
• Are you aware of any changes made on the computer recently?
  

In the meantime, I suggest you to follow the steps from the article

Microsoft Store doesn't launch to fix the issues you are facing in launching Store.
