    So this is more informing microsoft rather than seeking help. Recently I got my son that xbox game pass thing. Once i realized i too could get games on my PC using it I went to download games. The following issue does not just affect a single game, troubleshooting does not fix the issue. I even went so far as to reformat my pc and followed advice from a bunch of different sources such as moving the slider for bandwidth all the way over... Whatever is going on its on the server end. #1 it never uses my full bandwidth... best I've seen it used half of it which my internet speed is set to 200Mbps... once i saw it hit 150... it's also severely unstable with speeds dropping as low as 50Mbps as well as constant stalling. I am receiving my full upload and download speeds for everything else. I have zero packet loss and even have low ping in multiplayer servers across the country my system resources are no where near maxed out, antivirus is turned off, even my disc read/write is only at 20% and im using an SSD drive. Now this does not happen with small downloads... which leads me to believe y'all server needs some optimization... its either that or you're purposely throttling large downloads... I've done literally everything and checked everything on my end. No more excuses microsoft or trying to put the blame on the end user...

    You may follow the steps provided below and check if it helps to resolve the issue.

    Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with store troubleshooter. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your Windows update.

    Refer these steps:

    • Press Windows key +X, select Control panel
    • Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons
    • Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel
    • Run the Windows store troubleshooter and Windows update troubleshooter.

    Inconvenience regretted. Have you tried any troubleshooting steps so far?

    Windows has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter.

    • Press Windows key +X, select Control panel
    • Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons
    • Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel
    • Run Windows Store App troubleshooter.

    If the issue persists I would also suggest you to go to C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download
    folder, select all and delete the files in it and try to download again.

    • What is the exact error code that you receive while trying to download Skype from Windows Store?
    • Is this issue confined only to Skype app?
    • Were you able to access any other apps from Windows Store?

    As this could be an issue Store, I suggest you to run Windows Store troubleshooter and check if it helps:

    Method 1: As an initial step, I would suggest you to follow the below steps and see if the issue can be resolved.


    • Type troubleshooting in the
      Search
      area on the taskbar.

    • Click on View all on the left panel of the
      Troubleshooting Windows.

    • Select Windows store Apps.

    • Follow the on screen instruction.

    Method 2: Clear the Store cache

    You may try these steps to clear the Store cache and check if it helps:

    • Press the "Windows + R" keys on the keyboard.
    • Type "wsreset.exe" and press "Enter".
    • Reboot the computer and then check the issues with the App.
