    windows system32 drivers bfadfcoei.sys with Error Code 0xc0000098


    My computer has been working fine except I have three hard drives in it but 1 wasn't showing up so I puled it out. then when I went to turn the computer back on I received this error code and my computer wont boot. I have a backup hard drive that I had created about a month ago. when I install this drive it gives the same error. when I reinstall the third drive same issue. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Thank you

    Hi,

    The the 0xc0000098 error can appear due to a corrupted BCD (Boot Configuration Data) file. This can be due to a change in the hardware. There is also a possibility that Windows files or the hard drive was damaged on some cases. In this case, we suggest to boot
    from windows 10 installation disc and kindly follow the steps provided by
    Teemo Tang     on this

    error code 0xc0000098 on bootup

    win10 can't boot after update, get the following

    The operating system couldn't be loaded because a critical system driver is missing or contains errors

    File: \WINDOWS\System32\drivers\vmbus.sys

    Error code:0xc0000098

    tried many fixes

    chkdsk twice

    get Failed to Transfer Log Messages...

    bootrec /mbr

    bootrec /fixboot (had to create v: volume to get this to work

    bootrec /rebuildbcd

    sfc /scannow - Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation

    startup repair

    system restore - no restore points

    unitstall latest updates - says I have pending actions or we have run into problems - try resetting your PC

    it's fighting me every step of the way.

    The odd thing is it immediately goes to the blue screen error, doesn't even try to boot up, also won't boot in safe mode.
