Network bridge suddenly stopped working in windows 10

    Hi Shantanu,

To isolate your concern, we would like to know how your network bridge is connected? Is it a wireless connection or a wired connection?

In the meantime, we suggest that you set up your network bridge to refresh the adapter and reconnect the other devices. To do this, follow the steps below:

    • Add Incoming Connections from the Internet.
    • Bridge the two network connections that you want to use.
    • Forget the internal network connection (under
      Manage Known Networks).
    • Reconnect to your bridge network.
    • Restart your computer and check if your concern persists.

Let us know if you need further assistance.

  3. Incorrect reporting of percentage of network usage in Task Manager

I know I have a vey slow connection by todays standards: 1 Mbps. Generally, however, it works just fine for me. Except when MS updates and whatever other processes Microsoft's "Service Host Adaptors", as listed in the Task Manager, are running. At these
time, usually at start-up, my system performs as though I am not connected to the internet at all. These MS processes use 100% of my network resources [1 Mbps]. However, the Windows 10 Task Manager lists my Network resources usage at 1%. I think this has
something to do with either my modem or router's max capabilities of 100 Mbps.

    1. Is there any way to 'inform' the task Manager that 1 Mbps is 100 percent of my available network resources?

    and

    2. If windows 10 'knew' that 1 Mbps is 100 percent of my available network resources, might the "Service Host Adaptors" cut back on their amount of bandwidth usage such that a little might be left for me to use?

    Thank you.

  4. Windows Task Manager Cannot Get Network Usage After Create Network Bridge

Windows 10 Task Manager overestimates network usage approx. tenfold

For an unknown reason the task manager in Windows 10 is overestimating networking usage. As you can see here it's off by almost tenfold.

I had a look at this related answer where the task manager was showing no network usage at all and disabled Virtualbox Bridged Networking Driver with no difference.
