Windows 10: Windows Ten .1903

All,

back from leave, and windows update decided it was time to push me up to 1903... bad move.

Since then. Task manager has not worked properly.. Process and Perfomance show 0% CPU all the time.

using other methords, However, I can see the PC working it's .... off all the time, never going below 30% which makes the PC very very slow to use compared with when it was on 1803... once booting has finished and looking in Details there seems to be no perticular process CPU hogging. killing 'svc' tasks seems to help a bit..

Hardware, HP310e with cached raid1, Load of Ram and free diskspace. Correct HP divers loaded and were working with no issues. it was a nice workstation....
Virus scan gives the all clear. I've recreated page file. Cortana is disabled in GP

My own opinion is that it's a major update that's not gone well aka fubar, but I really don't want to flattten this machine.. the build is only two years old....


any other thougths ?

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
