Windows 10: Windows Ten October 18 Update Performance issues

Hello Microsoft Community,

I recently had an issue with my Windows 10 install 1809 i think it was the build before the October 18 update. But, After Microsft Level II technitions saying that I had no other choice but to reinstall Windows 10 to fix my issue. So, I downloaded the Windows Ten October 18 .iso and I flashed it to a USB, booted from that and installed it. Before when I done this on previous builds it took less then A hour to be at the cortana setup, This time it took about three hours! I was shocked and suprised. After, installing my Most latest drivers, and installing a few games and programs, I was ready to go. But, It is so slow, like Opening the file explorer icon from the taskbar takes like 2+ minutes to open, Opening the Supposedly best browser for windows ten, Microsoft edge took about a minute, but loading a simple webpage as youtube took about 5 minutes or so, which is never normal. It runs like a slug. And I was wondering if anyone else is facing this issue or is it just me? All help is appreciated

Performance issues with File Explorer in Windows 10

As the issue still persists, I suggest you to try the below steps and check if this helps.

I would suggest you to perform System Maintenance troubleshooter on the computer and check if it fixes the issue.

Please follow the steps to perform System maintenance check to improve performance of the computer:

• 
  Press Windows and x key together and select Control Panel.
  
• 
  Click on Troubleshooting.
  
• 
  Click on View all on the left side panel.
  
• 
  Click on System Maintenance and follow the onscreen instructions.
  

I also suggest you to install the latest Windows updates and check.

Windows Update helps keep your computer up to date with the latest system updates and drivers. You can check Windows Update manually to help ensure you have the latest updates.

  Hit Windows Key and type
  
• 
  Type Windows Updates
  
• 
  Click on Windows Updates
  
• 
  Click on Check for updates
  and install the latest windows updates.

It's basically what I mentioned above, small issues here and there ,but nothing to end your day.. for the most part.

I know it's anecdotal, but for my experience 95% of the time it's perfectly fine. The issues I've run into wouldn't be enough for me to roll back , but they would be enough (had I not installed it yet) ,to avoid it for another couple weeks which is why I'm suggesting it to the OP

Definitely not an issue with the Windows Servers as I just re-installed yesterday and got all my updates.
