  1. Windows unable to boot after changing Storage Spaces Controller

Hi, so I think I've royally screwed up.

While trying to install Ubuntu to my SSD drive I ran into a guide that recommended the following instructions:

    1. Boot to Windows with your current SATA controller configuration
    2. Open Device Manager
    3. Expand Storage Controllers and identify the Intel SATA RAID Controller
    4. View properties of the identified controller
    5. On the Driver tab, click the Update driver… button
    6. Browse my computer…, Let me pick… Uncheck Show compatible hardware
    7. Select Microsoft as manufacturer
    8. Select Microsoft Storage Spaces Controller as model3
    9. Accept that Windows cannot confirm that this driver is compatible
    10. Save changes, reboot to BIOS and change RAID SATA Controller to AHCI

My HP Envy is already AHCI. I was unable to perform this last step and now my Windows 10 OS is completely unusable. This is a brand new computer so I don't have any backups to restore to, and none of the repair tools are working so far. Tried with HP recovery tools but they appear grayed out. None of the normal recovery tools works for me at all. Is there any way of repairing my OS? Thanks in advance!

    :)
