    windows update. 0x80070057

0x80070057 error when trying to update to Windows 10 latest built

Over the past 2 Windows build (1909 & 2004), all domain joined computers are getting update failed 0x80070057 around 70-80% install mark. I have done the usual steps listed in this link, but nothing worked

How to Fix Windows Update Error 0x80070057? Try These Methods

Tried installing the update from ISO, didn't work.

Tried disjoint the computer from domain just in case some GPO is causing the problem (even though it was able to update prior to 1909). Same issue.

Only way to upgrade to the latest build is to do a clean install which is not a valid option.

Also, computers are from multiple manufacturers including Dell, HP and Lenovo.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
