Windows 10: Windows Update 0x80070643 error + OSE.exe missing

Hi. I'm facing a 0x80070643 error in Windows update.

I tried to google it and found some solutions, but they seems not to be working.

But I found out that this error can be related to the OSE.exe service, that could be disabled. So I went to services and.. OSE does not appear in the list of services. I tried to locate it in the Microsoft-shared folder but again, this seems not to exists on my pc. By the way, I have office installed and working.


The pc is almost new, I haven't installed many programs yet, I don't have an antivirus yet and I didn't many modifications. The only two things I did was disable Cortana from the registry and remove Internet Explorer - they shouldn't be related to Windows update I guess.

Try to apply the update manually As suggested by Microsoft. I just wrote a
step by step guide.

However be sure that the update itself is downloaded and that the installation part is failing, and not the downloading part.
