Windows 10: Windows Update 2020-10 Error code 0x800f0805

Hi,


I have been getting this error code every time I try and run windows update. It occurs with the 2020-10 Microsoft Edge update, the 2020-10 Update for Windows 10 Version 1909 for x64-based systems KB4023057 and for 2020-12 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1909 for x64-based Systems KB4592449. Other updates that have subsequently become available have worked fine. I've followed all the troubleshooting guidance provided e.g.:

I've looked external to here and other solutions suggest running manual updates and typically involve running various commands or batch files e.g.

Windows Update problem after disc change - Error 0x800f0805

Thank you for the reply. I include my feedback on the issue:

I performed a clean boot according to the steps. On this boot I tried,

• Updating through Windows Update (threw error 0x800f0805)
• Updating through Windows 10 Update Assistant as the link suggested (threw error 0x8007001f).
