Windows 10: Windows Update breaks audio for specific applications.

After update http://support.microsoft.com/kb/5013887 and https://support.microsoft.com/help/5014699 : Some game's audio has been completely removed, with no way to get it back.In game audio sliders would be up at maximum, I'd try different audio configurations, with zero luck. It's not even recognized in the volume mixer, not showing up as a program to change the slider on at all.Different versions of this game also have this effect. They all use SDL2, if that helps.I've tried regular SDL, and that works alright, however.

Audio breaks down after updating the audio drivers on Windows 10

Windows 10 gives users the ability to customize how they run applications. We suggest that you follow the steps below on how to grant administrator permission to a specific application:

• Click the Windows icon on your Windows 10 screen that will open the list of applications. Right click on the specific application that you wish to have an admin permission, click the
  More and click Open file location.
• A new window will open to the location of the program. Right-click on the program and click
  Properties from the pop-up menu.
• In the Properties window, click the Shortcut tab and then click
  Advanced.
• In the Advanced Properties window, check the box next to
  Run as administrator and click OK.

[Windows 10] hide/prohibit install of specific Windows Update

I have never intentionally used windows to provide my device drivers (except for older printers without Vendor drivers for clients). I only manually update from the vendor websites. Will just have to make a list of things to disable/remove if I finally decide to load it up on a machine.
