    Size: 82gb

    Folder: C:\Users\*****\AppData\Local\Microsoft

    Size: 66gb

    I do not have one drive linked or any other cloud service. Computer updated over the weekend.

    In 2018 I had an update that caused a "Low disk space" error because it partitioned my local drive incorrectly. I was able to fix it by removing the windows backup "drive" it created. When I saw the "low disk space" error this time I thought it was the same problem but it is not.

    Anyone else having the same issue? How big is your C:\Users\*****\AppData\Local\Microsoft folder?

    My fiances computer's local drive is 6gb while his microsoft folder is 16 mb.

    Low Disk Space error

    I have followed all the steps suggested & the problem is not resolved. How can I do the anniversary update with a USB stick. (I have an SSD laptop with limited space & I have no games installed).

    D is the recovery drive.

    I have a HP19 desktop.I keep getting an error that says low disk space on the recovery d drive.How do you fix this?How do you free up space or prevent the message from showing up ?This is what I did and I got lost:

    Disk bloat in Windows 10 Fall Creators Update

    Is it my imagination, or does the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update consume an additional 20-30GB of disk space over the previous Creators Update release? Unfortunately, I didn't log my disk usage before the upgrade, but now my C: drive has 56GB of stuff, and I know it wasn't anywhere near that full before. I've run "Disk Cleanup -> Clean up system files" and selected everything on the list, including remove previous version of Windows. I also emptied my Recycle Bin, my Temp folder, \Windows\Temp folder, and \Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download folder. Finally, I ran Wise Disk Cleaner to delete assorted application garbage.

    Has anyone else noticed the bloat in Fall Creators Update?
