Windows 10: Windows update cannot connect

many thanks, one last question. There are three accounts on this computer, will the install replace only the account that kicks it off or will it keep all accounts under the C:\Users folder ? Just need to know what I have to backup !!!!!!

 

The replace install won't touch any program or user.

 

Is your network connection through a router out to the internet?
I would check it by running its admin program (usually a web page to the router)
and see if its blocking some ports you may need in its firewall.

Hi, everytyhing was fine up to the last windows update on 01/04/2016 and I am most definatley connected to the internet. Thanks for the link - I will check it now

As I am using Windows Firewall I would have thought it would know about its own sites ....
