Windows 10: Windows update can't be performed due to 0xC1900101-0x20017 error

Good day community,

I've trying to update Windows Insider preview but every time get 0xC1900101-0x20017 error. Sometime after months of trying Windows updates to a newer version but it's rare occasion.

I can perform clean reinstall of Windows, so there is not a particular build error.

I've already tried all suggestions like turn off antivirus (I have no one installed, but I turn on and off Windows defender), clean install, memory check, ISO install, remove all USB devices (even fully disable USB from BIOS), update BIOS for the last version, perform memory checks and remove some memory from PC.

I understand that you get “error 0xC1900101-0x20017” when you try to upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10.

Before proceeding, we need to know whether the partition type you use on your Windows 7 is NTFS/GPT.

This error may arise due to the Hardware compatibility issue.

As i am getting error code 0xC1900101 - 0x20017 but you suggested to refer 0xc1900101-0x40017. Just asking which one is right solution for my
issue ?

I have already tried the steps mentioned for error code 0xC1900101 - 0x20017 but No luck.

I also tried to upgrade through Windows Update but same error.

This thread starts with the same error and indicates how this issue was resolved in some cases. It's not going to be easy, I feel, with no one solution.
Note the same error has occurred with previous build upgrades.
