Windows 10: Windows Update Destroyed PC Game Performance

Hello,


Last year, I was playing Witcher 3 up until June, on high graphics settings and it was running smoothly, not lagging once.

Yesterday, I reinstalled the game on the same PC, and during fights it lags like hell even on medium graphics settings!! I've reinstalled the graphics drive to no avail. At this point, I can only think that the Windows updates screwed things up as I saw several precedents for this on the internet.


What is your suggestion, since at this point, I can't even play the game?


I'm running:

I7-8750K

8 GB RAM

GTX-1060 MaxQ
