Windows 10: Windows Update disabled whiled logged out Windows 10, Server 2016 PCs

I have observed that Windows 8 and earlier versions allow Windows Update search, download, and/or install updates for those PCs connected to internet while no one is currently logged in. However on Windows 10 PCs also Server 2016 and later, only when no one is logged in, Windows Update will not check for updates until someone does log in or have the setting "Use my sign-in info to finish setting up my device" enabled on that PC. When logging off the session, Windows Update cancels as if something wrong.


Did Microsoft have it where users will have to log in on that PC for automatic updates to check?

Well just noticed a pretty large one pop up coming in at 914MB, seems it makes some pretty serous updates.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

FIXED!! Windows 7 sp1 never ends searching for updates

They made it part of the WU client then, or it's two different things doing the same. Too bad you can't download it separately.
