Windows 10: Windows update does not show up in settings

I do not have Windows Update in my settings. How can I re-add it?

APP does not show up through Settings

Many antivirus companies have their own "removal tool" that will help remove/uninstall their software from a system. I'd check with ESET. Otherwise your only remaining option is to try to remove it yourself (remove files, registry references, and shortcuts
manually).

Maybe ESET is setup to only add their uninstaller to the old "Control Panel" and not the new settings tool.

Try this:

• Right-click Start, choose Run
• Type appwiz.cpl and click OK
• Is ESET in this list that pops up?

 

Figured it out, ended up being a registry setting.
In \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer,
there's a "SettingsPageVisibility" key that had the value "hide:windowsupdate".
