    Windows Update error 0x80070057 and missing 2 DLL's


    Recently my antivirus was uninstalled Kaspersky Total Security without my permission. When I noticed it I tried installing it, but for some reason it wouldn't install so I tried the Windows Defender that also was not working. Started investigating what was happening and what I found was:

    1 - My Windows updater wasn't working and was showing the 0x80070057 error.

    2 - I had some trojans in my PC that were blocking my antivirus deleting its files and any attempt of using it that I had to manually delete. So I've deleted 2 DLL's that now are showing as missing winscomrssrv.dll and StartupCheckLibrary.dll.


    I've already tried using the "sfc /scannow" and the DISM thing, but wasn't able to fix anything

    Also, that's what my Windows Defender will show:
