Windows 10: Windows update error 0x8024401c

Hi I have this windows 10 update error on a brand new laptop HP250 G6. I5 processor 8 gb ram


All our other machines upgrade fine from the network but it doesnt.


Tried manually updating to a newer mass update which works but the windows updates itself are not working.


tried resettting windows components

tried sfc /scannow

tried powershell restore health script


at the end of my tether! please helps

Thank you for getting back with a reply. Let me help you in resolving the issue.

I suggest you to add another Microsoft account by following the steps mentioned below and see if the problem occurs there:

* Click Start,

* Navigate to Settings/>Accounts/>Your Account/> Add a Microsoft account.


* If you have another Microsoft account try to use that or else follow the steps to sign-up for new and switch with new Microsoft account.

* Sign-out from the old and Login with new Microsoft account.

Once you're sign-in with new Microsoft account, then try work around to see if problem still persists.
