Windows 10: Windows Update: error 0x8024402f

Ever since I've upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 8.1, I haven't been able to update the windows or office or any other products.



I simply get this

I've ran WindowsUpdateDiagnostic.diagcab from Fix Microsoft Windows Update Issues
I've deleted all files and folders in C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download



Nothing helped, the problem persists.



I'm on Windows 10 Pro x64
My internet connection is at 5mbps

According to Microsoft site, 0x8024402F is because windows firewall is not the default firewall. It must be your antivirus or malware software...turn it off and try the update again.

 

I don't have an antivirus or any other 3rd party firewall running.
I've even this problem on a clean install before I installed any app.

 

I did experience this before, just keep trying it will eventually success updating the windows.

Besides, u can also repair windows update through control panel > system and security > troubleshoot common computer problem > fix problems with windows update. Run it a few times and restart your computer.

Alternatively, u can do sfc/scannow or dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth with command prompt to check for and fix any windows corruptions files as well.
