Windows 10: Windows update errors for KB4487017, error 0x800f0922 even through Microsoft Update Catalog

KB4487017 has now failed 11 times from automatic update. It has also failed by my downloading the update from the microsoft update catalog and performing a manual install. Error code is the same 0x800f0922.


Feature update 1803 has installed successfully but for more than 2 weeks, 1809 has said it requires a restart to finish installing. I suspect that 1809 is waiting for KB4487017 to succeed before it starst.


Every time it tries to update KB4487017 the PC is unavailable for more than 30 minutes. The family is cursing Micrsoft and me.


How do i fix this please?

Windows refuses to update - Error 0x800f0922


Windows won't update, i ran sfc as an Admin in CMD and no issues.

• Adobe is activated on Edge but still doesn't work, could this be related?

80246002 Error from windows update

Every time I attempt to check for new windows updates, I get the error "Windows could not search for updates" and the error code 80246002. I've searched online quite a bit and only found a few links to Microsoft FixIts, and some commands you could run in attempt to clear it. I've attempted to simply reinstall windows, but even with a fresh copy I still have this error. Does anyone know anything at all that could help?

no, this did not fix the problem , the offline installer failed with the same reason ==> Failed to install on ‎2/‎15/‎2019 - 0x800f0922. ps I had already tried this with the KB4480976 update, it failed also.

The following CBS.LOG file is from the manual install of KB4487017 update using the offline installer.

now a third cummulative update is being downloaded and i'm suspicious that it will fail as well.
