Windows 10: Windows Update Fail Error 0x800706be

Hello evreyone im new here, i have issues updateing my windows 10, i did turn off pernament windows updates because im gamer, cause of background updates and my pc was very slow, now i turn it again back too default, because i need never version of windows.


My currently version is 1709 OS builid 16299.611


Im trying evreything but it dosent work, i was reading the forum and found those CMD commands like, net start bits, net start wuauserv, etc and more but nothing helps,powershell the command etc, deleting the SoftwareDistribution folder ... i get this error

Error 0x800706beFound a youtube video with this error did evreything but nothing helps


Even downloaded the Script WU which resets all cmd commands dosent help either...


i even try too install the newest version of windows with the Update Assistant but evreytime it says We couldn't complete the updates. Undoing changes.

Im really tiered of this **** OS its 3th day that im wasting my time and i cant fix anything.

Any suggestion???

• What is the make and model of your device?
• Aside from error 0x800706BE, are there any other error messages?
• Have you also done all the troubleshooting steps we've provided in this thread?

Windows 10 Update Failing

I'm starting to go slightly crazy having now spent about 5 hours with Microsoft support on chat - maybe someone here can suggest something new:

- I'm running build 10240 of Windows 10

- The following updates will not install (I get a message on startup just saying failed to install updates:

• Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3156387) - Error 0x800706be
• Security Update for Adobe Flash Player for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3135782) - Error 0x800706be
• Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3125217) - Error 0x800706be
• Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3141032) - Error 0x800706be

I have tried the following:

• the online automated update fix tool - does not work
• Various combinations of clearing the downloaded updates and retrying (guided by the helpdesk)
• Manually installing the latest version of windows 10 - gives a runtime error at 41% EVERYTIME (see screenshot below)

So the general cycle of support seems to be 1. try to fix updates, 2. try and update windows version manually, 3. fail and decide that the reason it doesn't work is because you need to install the updates first... see the cyclical nature of the problem..

Any thoughts?

 

Windows Updates failed to instal

I just did step one and they have just all installed.... thank you so much.... it was quite frustrating having that update window pop up every 5 minutes and failing to instal every time
