Windows 10: Windows Update - Feature update to Windows 10, version 1903

Dear Community,


I received a message yesterday and today that my PC cannot install this Windows 10 update: Feature update to Windows 10, version 1903. I never had a problem before having Windows 10 automatically install updates on my PC. Is this a valid update I received or a scam email?


I recently setup a Windows 8 PC for my wife and after one week my logon password automatically synced from my PC to my wife's PC. Could this have something to do with the update not being able to install? How can I have this Win 10 update install.

Windows 10 Update

Well just noticed a pretty large one pop up coming in at 914MB, seems it makes some pretty serous updates.

Just a tiny step closer before I'll upgrade to windows 10....

 

Microsoft to make Windows 10 updates mandatory

Well, at the moment at least, you can choose to defer upgrades. Under Settings > Windows Updates > Advanced options you need to check the box labeled "Defer upgrades". What does that do? Good question. The answer I've found might illuminate it to a degree.

I hear this only applies to Pro and Enterprise editions. But I can't verify that.
