Windows 10: Windows update Install Error 0x80073701 [KB5017383]

Hi, I haven't been able to update my windows for a while now. I tried various fix methods yet non worked I Tried installing the update manually using standalone install, but it failed to install too.I used Ccleaner, Used windows troubleshooting, CMD methods didn't work also. Can anyone help me to fix it ?!

Running Window 11 Professional.

I've tried several times, but the latest Windows 11 update
(KB5014668) keeps failing with error 0x80073701.

A web site suggested I try clean booting. I tried it. It didn't help.

So I'm writing to ask if anyone has any suggestions to fix that
inability to update error 0x80073701 .

 

KB4586781 won't install error 0x80073701

Sounds like you've set updates to Notify.

If you don't know how to navigate to that policy, Policy Plus (free) has a useful 'Find' feature:




You can try Tweaking.com's tool, if if still no joy, proceed to the next step, which as Tekkie Boy indicated would be an in-place upgrade repair install which keeps all progs and data, or just do that anyway.

They should have no impact on group policy settings.
