Windows 10: Windows Update June 2020

Hi!

I just noticed a few system issues with my laptop after the June 2020 update. First, after turning on the computer and loading the browser, a lot of "+++" symbols appear on the search bar. This does not apply to the browser alone but to any empty search bar e.g. start menu search bar. Also, my touchpad does not automatically work. I have to delete that +++ symbols so it'll work luckily I have an external mouse so I get to do this. I'm also not sure if the problem with the power is also related to the update because my laptop shuts off eventhough there is still power left in the battery. I have generated a battery report and everything looks great but this issue still happens every now and then. I probably have to mention that I just recently replaced my battery less than 6 mos ago so I'm quite confused why this happens.


Any leads would be appreciated.
PS. Asus service centers n my area are currently closed due to the community quarantine.

DirectX June Update

Microsoft has released an updated version of DirectX for June, although it isn’t clear whether the update is just for DirectX 9.0c or for DirectX 10 on Vista as well. Regardless of this, it is still recommended that Vista users update their systems because Vista will benefit from any DirectX 9.0c fixes when playing DirectX 9 games. The web installer is only for Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 (both 32-bit and 64-bit versions), whilst the redistributable version will also work with Vista. Please note the following information regarding the security updates:

• For information regarding enabling Windows 10, version 1909 features, please see Windows 10, version 1909 delivery options. Note that Windows 10, versions 1903 and 1909 share a common core operating system with an identical set of system files. They will also share the same security update KBs.
• Windows 10 updates are cumulative. The monthly security release includes all security fixes for vulnerabilities that affect Windows 10, in addition to non-security updates. The updates are available via the Microsoft Update Catalog.

FIXED!! Windows 7 sp1 never ends searching for updates

They made it part of the WU client then, or it's two different things doing the same. Too bad you can't download it separately.
