Windows update KB4537759 - 02-03-2020 is breaking my PC badly :

    Hello,

Firs of all sorry for my English.

Today, I launched my PC and I see that Windows offered me to update my version toKB4537759 1909. Nothing serious as I always keep my PC up-to-date. So I press the Download button, updating is installing and my PC restart to finish the installation...

Here's come the trouble. After log in to my PC, I noticed it was very slow to enter my desktop and then instead of having my Desktop, I was greeted with a black screen and the taskbar which was flashing / popping up and a message on the bottom left corner saying something about " NVIDIA Panel Cannot Be found ".

I tried to restart the PC and same thing happened, PC completely unusable. By chance, I still have a Windows image on my USB drive. I had to start Windows with my USB and use the repair button then -> Uninstall major update I don't know if it's the correct sentence in English. to revert to the previous version.

I restart my PC and everything was fine. So I thought it was maybe due to my NVIDIA drivers, then I use DDU to completely remove my NVIDIA drivers, I restarted the PC and start installing the Windows update but same issue as above...

I had to repeat the thing with my USB drive to restore a previous version and I make a clean reinstall of NVIDIA drivers but still not working :

I have now blocked Windows update service to prevents my PC to do this update because I'm lost and I don't know what to do.

My Windows 10 is legit and it's a fresh install Installed like 2 months ago. I did some scans with my antivirus ESET, Malwarebyte and Adwcleaner but nothing at all.

My PC Specs are the following:

    • Motherboard: ASUS ROG Strix Z390 F-Gaming

    • CPU: Intel Core i9-9900K 5.0 GHz

    • Watercooling: NZXT Kraken x52 Rev2

    • Graphic Card: EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti XC GAMING 11 GB GDDR6

    • Memory: DDR4 G.Skill Ripjaws Black, 32 GB, 3600 MHz, CAS 15

    • SSD: Toshiba A100, 240 Go, SATA III

    • HDD: Seagate BarraCuda, 1 To

    • PSU: Corsair CX750, 750W

    • Windows 10 Family Edition

Any ideas on what should I do? I'm very cautious when using my PC I'm using it only for gaming and I only visit website like Facebook, Reddit or Twitter....

I also checked my drives and they are both "healthy". Should I use Windows Tweaking Repair Tool?

Any help would be appreciated :

    Thank you

    :)

  2. Windows February 2020 updates related issues

The following is the list of updates I had few days ago:

    - KB4532691: 2020-02 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1809 for x64-based Systems

    - KB4524244: Security Update for Windows 10 Version 1809 for x64-based Systems

    - KB4538122: 2020-02 Cumulative Update for .NET framework 3.5, 4.7.2 and 4.8 for Windows 10 Version 1809 for x64

    - KB4537759: 2020-02 Security Update for Adobe Flash Player for Windows 10 Version 1809 for x64-based Systems

After those updates several functions were not working, mainly all related to taskbar and start menu responsiveness, Cortana was not running, and apps from Microsoft Store freeze on initial load of themselves.

I read about the issues related to update KB4524244 and so I uninstalled it as suggested from Microsoft this night through the Control Panel procedure ("Uninstall updates" from Settings). After a first reboot nothing was still working (of the issues stated
before); after a second reboot the following is working:

    - taskbar and start menu, but not right click on taskbar pins

    - Cortana is running

    - Mail is working, even with notifications, but not the other apps from Microsoft Store (e.g. OneNote, Tips, Skype, Microsoft Store itself)

Now I just noticed that another update was installed today, 2019-12 Update for Windows 10 Version 1809 for x64-based Systems (KB4023057).

I would like to ask how I can solve the issues I still face with Windows, particularly I am thinking about whether I have to reboot some more times to get all things to work or I need to reset the PC or I have to perform other actions.

I am experiencing what I reported with a laptop HP ProBook 450 G6 with Intel process (i7 - 8th gen) and Windows 10 Pro build 17763.1039.

    Any suggestion is appreciated.
