Windows 10: Windows Update Printing Issue

My desktop, Acer Aspire, received the monthly updates last week. After the restart, the computer came up to a black screen. After multiple repeated attempts, I finally had to reload Windows to restore the computer. Everything is working fine, except it will not print.


I have 2 wireless printers on the same network. All other devices on the network print fine. I reinstalled the latest drivers, ran the troubleshooters several times, checked that the print spooler is on automatic and running, cleared all items as recommended and every other online suggestion. To make it a bit more bizarre, the multi-function unit will scan to the computer, so I know communication is not the issue.


I am unable to determine which update it was or roll back, since I was never able to access the data and had to do a full re-install. I suspect another glitch like the one from the 09/19 update.


Any helpful direction would be appreciated.

Printing issues

I suggest you to run Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter.
Follow these steps to run Hardware and Devices troubleshooter:

• Press Windows key + X and click on
  Control Panel.
• Select Troubleshooting.
• Select View all on the top left corner.
• Click Printer.
• Follow the on-screen instruction to run the troubleshooter.

Also, I suggest you to install the latest chipset and printer drivers from manufacturer website and check if it fixes the issue.

Printing web pages in Windows 10

• What kind of contents and extensions do you want to print?

I suggest you to perform the below troubleshooting steps and check if it helps:

Method 1: I suggest you to follow the steps below to print documents in the Windows 10 Edge browser and check if it helps:

• 
  Once the document is open in Edge, press
  Ctrl+P or More actions button at the top last end of the browser.
  
• 
  Click Print as PDF button.
  
• 
  Check if the document prints as expected.
  

If the above steps did not work, try the next methods.

Method 2: Set your printer as default.

• 
  Press Windows key and type
  Control Panel.
  
• 
  Click on view by and select large icons.
  
• 
  Open Devices and printers.
  
• 
  Right click on your printer and select set a default printer.

Print Spooler Issue

For step by step instructions on how you can manually start the Print Spooler Service, follow these:

• Click Windows tab.
• Type Control Panel > System and Maintenance
  > Administrative Tools.
• Double click Services.
• Right click to the Print Spooler service > Properties.

However, we suggest you can refer to an answer given by Prabhavathi Patil on this

thread.

We also recommend that you update the driver for your printer.
