Windows 10: Windows Update Rebooted my machine without my consent ?

I've been using Hibernate and S3 sleep for a while and it's been working perfectly..Today when going home from work, i noticed that Windows wanted to install updates when i clicked the "shutdown" button to Hibernate. I ignored the updates because i didn't want to reboot / shutdown and left all my programs running including Visual Studio.. I hit Hibernate and the computer went to sleep. Then threw the computer Lenovo 2021 T14 AMD into my bag. While biking home with my Bluetooth Headset on my ears, listening to Podcast i noticed that the Bluetooth connected and disconnected !??Now 1 hour lat

Windows Update suddenly hangs?

Windows Update is suddenly hanging for some reason... I went and downloaded and installed the first bunch of updates, restarted when asked, and now when I go back to windows update I just get the window with a white box forever. Reboot and it still does it. This happens to be on my main machine, running windows 7.

I've also noticed when I reboot it says configuring windows update, step 3 of 3, 47%. Maybe it somehow skipped something and is screwed forever?

 

FIXED!! Windows 7 sp1 never ends searching for updates

Ok I did another reboot, disabled windows update service, did step 3 again, this time it installed an update, enabled windows update service and did a reboot and voila!! *Peace eace:

 

Reboot without my consent

My pc just rebooted itself without my consent. Just to finish installing an update.

I was running a long process, which I now have to restart it all over again. Thanks, Microsoft, for wasting time and energy, just because you couldn't bear waiting a few hours.

How do I definitively stop Windows from rebooting itself?

I want it to always ask, and when I don't answer, it should
never reboot.
