Windows 10: Windows update stuck in preparing to install

I was updating an old laptop I haven't used in a while from version 1511 to 1903. It has been stuck at 14% for 4 hours now. Anything I can do to fix this without restarting the update as I have limited internet? Already tried using the update troubleshooter, says everything's fine.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

Windows Updates failed to instal

I just did step one and they have just all installed.... thank you so much.... it was quite frustrating having that update window pop up every 5 minutes and failing to instal every time

Windows 10 update stuck on preparing for installation

I downloaded windows 10 but now it is stuck on preparing to install i restarted the computer and the windows downloaded again but now it is stuck on the same place. on preparing for installation for the past hour.
