  1. Windows Update tries to downgrade my graphics driver from 27.20.100.8681 to 26.20.100.8141...

    Hi Community,

Im new here but I am quite a fan of optimising Windows so I will be around.

I recently updated my graphics driver to version 27.20.100.8681. I did that manually without internet conection and uninstalling previously the former graphics drivers. The driver itself I downloaded from https://downloadcenter.intel.com/de/product/126150/Kit-Intel-NUC-NUC8i3BEH.

Now Windows Update is trying to download and install the old version 26.20.100.8141. I have paused for a week the Updates but I would like to know if I can cancel this update manually and why Windows Update recognize it as the newest one. Has anyone experience with this?

    Info about my PC:

    NUC8ie3beh Everything updated

Graphics card: Intel iris graphics 655

    Windows 10 version 2004

    :)

Power up to PW went from 20 seconds to 100 seconds

After analyzing your boot trace I found this:
    • The Winlogon phase took 126s, most of the delay is caused by loading the keyboard layout driver (89s)!
    • This delay is happening because this driver is not embedded-signed driver.
    • Looking at your drivers, I found that there is this "Canadian French - AltGz-degree_AltGe-zer Keyboard Layout" driver (Layout01.dll). The company name is simply company !

To solve your problem you have to uninstall this program.

    Hope this will help.

DISK USAGE (first 100%, then 0-20%)

    Guys, Microsoft...

Having problem my with brand-new Lenovo notebook (i5, 8GB RAM, 1TB HDD).

Came with original Windows 10 preinstalled. DISK usage 100% for first 13 minutes after boot!

I decided to download W10 ISO from Microsoft and install myself. Now... 100% disk usage for first 3 minutes, and then for the rest of the time it varies from 0-13-20%... Even in completely idle mode. Is this normal? Is it normal for DISK activity
when I don't work on the notebook?

I have no apps on my PC... Just original W10, latest drivers and latest BIOS.

DISK USAGE (first 100%, then 0-20%)

I will check the link you provided with WIKI about this app (actually I already checked it.. but will do again).

I want to add right settings... any chance that you help me with setting up WPRUI.exe so that the results can show us what causing my problems?

I would like to start this app immediately after I boot up... and let it run for 15 minutes

    Generally:

    • 0-5 mins: 100% disk usage (according to task manager ACTIVE TIME)
    • after that: 0-20% disk usage (according to task manager ACTIVE TIME)

It would be helpful if you tell me which options to turn on in this app.. .considering my problem is the DISK
