Windows 10: Windows Update trying to install old NVIDIA Display drivers?

I noticed that windows update keeps trying to install this driver "NVIDIA - Display - 26.21.14.3200 (2)" which seems to be dated around October 2019 or December 2019. Does anyone know why windows does this and how to stop it? I do actually have some vsync issues where vsync either has to be on or off, otherwise my game will look choppy despite having 90 or even 100+ frames. I am planning on using DDU sometime to fix it but it don't really bother me that much since I just have to either have it on or off. but anyways any help would be appreciated!

Thanks. Just ran the display driver uninstaller utility from Guru3D and Windows is still trying to install the old drivers. *Frown

 

Windows 7 wont install drivers

i dont think anyone here understands what your asking either when its nearly a 90% english dominated Tech forum.
Step 1
reinstall windows from scratch
Step 2
install all drivers from the cd that came with the god damn motherboard *common sense*
Step 3
update windows
Step 4
install misc etc crap like flash java etc etc
Step 5
Install GPU drivers
Step 6
go back to using your pc without issue.

If you having an issue installing a driver that worked before you formatted or wont install on a fresh build, sometimes this means hardware damage
