Windows 10: Windows update ver 1809

I got a notification to update my windows 10 to version 1809

The problem is: the update installation gets stuck at 78% and nothing else, no error message, no nothing, just keeps turning the install circle and stays at 78% forever.

I have tried to delete the previous download files, start afresh, use update assistant and so on, still the same problem. Stuck at 78%.

When in win10:

• Update&security -> Windows update -> Finding update... .... .... ....

Planning to download the latest Win10.ISO (vers.1803) and manually update:
- Then wait that my ordered new SSD arrives and clone the old HDD to it.

That seems to occur when Java is not correctly added to the Windows Path. Mind trying the steps suggested by Sun here to see if it fixes it?

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
