Windows 10: Windows updates fail to install, error 0x800f0922

When attempting to update windows to the December update and update 20H2, the update progresses to 97% and then says "We couldn't install the updates, undoing changes," restarting twice before reverting.

I have attempted many fixes for this issue, including the ones found in this thread: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-update/windows-update-error-0x800f0922/87a78355-1a84-4e0f-a0be-28f99a075e50 to no success.

Internet connection is stable. When attempting to activate .NET framework 3.5 in the windows features box, error 0x800f0922 appears there too. I have 300GB of space available on this drive, which is visible on windows. .NET framework 4.8 is activated already. And I attempted disabling firewall for the updates, which made no change. Thank you for your help.

Windows Updates failed to instal

I just did step one and they have just all installed.... thank you so much.... it was quite frustrating having that update window pop up every 5 minutes and failing to instal every time

Windows refuses to update - Error 0x800f0922


Windows won't update, i ran sfc as an Admin in CMD and no issues.

• Adobe is activated on Edge but still doesn't work, could this be related?

Note that accompanying this is an update for Net framework,The error number is often associated with that.

Are you certain the error number is associated with the KB rather than the Net framework update offered simultaneously?

If you wished to separate the elements offered at this time and try installing them individually, you could use Windows Update Minitool (free) which allows you to select updates individually.
