    Windows Update (KB3081455) fails. Error code is 0x800703f1.

    Hello.

    The OS of my PC is Windows 10.

    Windows update of KB3081455 fails every time, and the error code is always 0x800703f1.

    Does anyone know a solution of this problem?

    Windows updates failing error code 0x800703F1

    Drivers won't update, errors 0x800703f1 and 0x80070002

    I have about 20 drivers that need updating. Windows version 18363. The updates download but fail to install. All report error 0x80070002 or 0x800703f1.

    I've tried:

    • Clearing the download files and restarting the update service.
    • Running the troubleshooter
    • sfc /scannow
    • dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth, which seemed to hang after the scan.
    • perfmon /report, which shows that one service is crashing
    • Using the Device Manager to install individual drivers
    • Various other remedies proposed; I googled the error codes and followed up...
    Suggestions?
