    Windows updates KB4561608, KB4538156, KB4087642 fail: error 0x80070bc9


    Hello, I've been trying to install the updates listed in the Subject but Windows Update keeps failing.

    It gets stuck like this and then they all fail with 0x80070bc9:

    I've already tried:

    net stop wuauserv
    cd %systemroot%
    ren SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old
    net start wuauserv

    Please don't tell me I should do a clean Windows install because I really don't want to do that. There has to be a better way.

    Update error 0x80070bc9 windows 10

    Windows 10 is trying to install updates but I keep getting error 0x80070bc9.

    Does anyone know a solution?

    Can't Update Windows since upgrade from w7 to w10, errors 0x80070bc9 and 0x80070643

    Here is a part of the rapport of todays DISM query, maybe there is some wizard who can decipher that Windows updates KB4561608, KB4538156, KB4087642 fail: error 0x80070bc9 :D, it wouldn't allow me to post all of it...

    Windows Updates failed to instal

    I just did step one and they have just all installed.... thank you so much.... it was quite frustrating having that update window pop up every 5 minutes and failing to instal every time
