Windows 10: Windows updates won't install, error 0x800f0922

When trying to update Windows to update 20H2, the update progresses to 97% and then says "Could not install updates, undoing changes", rebooting twice before reverting.

The internet connection is stable. When trying to activate .NET framework 3.5 in Windows features box, error 0x800f0922 appears there as well. I have 300GB of available space on this drive, which is viewable in Windows. .NET framework 4.8 is already activated. And I tried disabling the firewall for updates, which didn't make any changes. Windows refuses to update - Error 0x800f0922


Windows won't update, i ran sfc as an Admin in CMD and no issues.

• Adobe is activated on Edge but still doesn't work, could this be related?

Windows updates won't install!

I had the same problem when i repaired my O/S, i forgot the steps on how to fixed it, but it is in the microsoft support forum.

You have to reinstall the windows updater, then restart the updating service.

Are you certain the error number is associated with the KB rather than the Net framework update offered simultaneously?

If you wished to separate the elements offered at this time and try installing them individually, you could use Windows Update Minitool (free) which allows you to select updates individually.
