Upgrade to Windows 10 Home, version 1511, 10586
Awaiting Installation


Just found this in windows updates but nothing to press. Ideas?

I am currently on 10.0.10240 (64)

Cortana is lazy, doesn't like to work:

• I told her to finish all the **** my boss told me to do on the computer. Just like in Star Trek.
• I fell over a few times being total in intoxicated from my short lunch.
• Not anymore. I through the machine out the window.

You can try to do a In-Place upgrade using ISO's .
Media creation Tool is now updated with Version 1511, OS Build 10586 of Windows 10.

The size of the update through Windows update and ISO are nearly the same.

Everything should stay in place.
They even display a large banner just before you land on the 'fresh' desktop:

"Your files are exactly where you left them!"

 

Hi, don't do anything.. just wait. That means it's downloading, and the download is incomplete.
I've just had exactly the same thing with the NEXT update after 10586.

 

OK Dal, will wait a while. I have a facility to put version on desktop, will activate it and wait.

edit: there was an awaiting installation when I went into updates after I started this post. But it does not appear ro be the renewed win 10 as the software version is still 10240. But the notification about the new version has vanished from my screen.
