Windows 10: Windows Upgrade to release 2004 from 1909

When attempting to update to the latest version the install gets 35% of the way through and halts stating incompatibility with Virtual software:





I have uninstalled these using IOBit Uninstaller and conducted a registry clean with CCleaner to no avail. The Apps view in settings shows they are no longer present. Virtual Box was stubborn to remove and when going through uninstall using Windows kept rolling back with no change. Hence using IOBit.


Can someone help please as I would like to be running 2004?

Here is how to upgrade to version 2004

Way 1. Open Settings>Update & Security>Windows Update

Way 2. Go to https://microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 then download the Windows 10 Upgrader App

I was able to force install it in early June, and I tested it for a couple days before rolling back to 1909.

Microsoft apparently has now decided to block force installs.
