Windows Web Experience Pack update available, unable to update widget board

The last few days, i have been seeing a notification inside the windows 11 widgets app about an update being available to install. but when i click on the link to the update, within the app, the windows store app opens, and there is only a grayed out 'GET' option, and no option to update.I have tried searching the apps list as well as the system components app list i thought it would definitely show up here, but it didn't appear in either list. I did check the windows settings listed in this link: How to update the Windows Web Experience Pack in the Microsoft Store - Microsoft Support , but

  2. Widget app wont update

    Hello Markus,

    I'm Hethwik.

Check if you are in the latest update or try reinstalling Windows web experience pack.

If WWEP is missing, the Widgets feature would disappear or malfunction. If this is the case for you, please perform the steps below:

    • Right-click Start>Windows Powershell(admin).
    • Type the following command to remove traces of the Windows web experience pack: winget uninstall "windows web experience pack"
    • Wait for the process to complete. When it is done, go to the following page
    • Windows Web Experience pack from Microsoft Store.
    • Click Get>Install.
    • When the installation is complete, restart your computer and see if the issue is resolved.
If the issue resolved please reply .

  3. Unable to reinstall Windows Web Experience Pack on Windows 11

    Hi, Tom_183

    Welcome to the MicroSoft Community.

If you're experiencing issues reinstalling the Windows Web Experience Pack on Windows 11 and encountering error code 0x803FB005, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

    1. Reset Microsoft Store: Resetting the Microsoft Store can help resolve installation issues. To do this, follow these steps:
      • Open the "Settings" app by pressing Windows key + I.
      • Go to "Apps" > "Apps & features".
      • Scroll down and click on "Microsoft Store".
      • Click on the "Advanced options" link.
      • Click the "Reset" button.
    2. Clear Microsoft Store cache: Clearing the Microsoft Store cache can also help in resolving installation issues. Here's how:
      • Press Windows key + R to open the Run dialog box.
      • Type wsreset.exe and press Enter.
      • This will reset the Microsoft Store cache, and then the Store will launch automatically.
    3. Check for Windows Updates: Ensure that your Windows 11 operating system is up to date. Some installation issues can be resolved by installing the latest updates. You can check for updates by going to "Settings" > "Windows Update".
    4. Try a different user account: Create a new user account with administrative privileges and try installing the Windows Web Experience Pack from that account. Sometimes, issues can be user specific.
If there is anything not clear or I can't understand your problem, please do not hesitate to let me know.

  4. Windows Web Experience Pack update available, unable to update widget board

    Widgets Board clock

    Hi mickleby,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community

Microsoft does not provide a standard widget for displaying the date and time of the Widgets Board launch in Windows. Widgets on the Windows desktop are small cards that show dynamic content from various apps and services.

You can open the Widgets Board by selecting the widgets icon in the left corner of your taskbar, where the live weather icon is displayed, or by pressing the Windows logo key + W. The Widgets Board can be customized to display content based on your preferences and usage. However, there isn't a specific widget for tracking the launch date and time of the Widgets Board itself.

To ensure your widgets are up-to-date, you can update the Windows Web Experience Pack from the Microsoft Store. If you're looking for a widget that specifically displays the date and time of when you launch the Widgets Board, you might have to consider third-party solutions or custom development, as this functionality doesn't seem to be provided by Microsoft's standard set of widgets.

Thank you for your patience and understanding! If you have any questions, please feel free to leave us a message.

    Honest
