    Windows won’t boot after new hard drive installation


    I’m going to try to be as detailed as possible here. I know I made some mistakes along the way so I would like to both fix those issues as well as use the upgraded storage. Here I go. I recently got a new SSD, that’s not the important part, I put that into my laptop and all is well, fresh install of windows, good to go! That left me with a 2TB HDD from my laptop which I would like to install in my desktop tower. This will be referred to as my new hard drive I am adding this to an already installed 1Tb SSD E: drive and 500GB HDD C: Drive. The 1TB SSD is where windows is installed. That m

    [Confusion] Hard drive won't boot. Caused by video card?

    Did you install Windows with all your other hard drives plugged in? If you did, removing them when you boot Windows will fail, because Windows dumps boot flags on every drive when its first installed. That's why people always recommend disconnecting every single hard drive besides your C:\ drive when doing a fresh install.

    As for your initial problem, the GPU being reinstalled and suddenly Windows won't boot - tried safe mode? (Spam F9 when your computer is loading)

    Need help installing a new hard drive

    Basically what I'm saying is I want to install windows onto my new hard drive and boot from it
    But for windows 7 to recognize that it's a two drive system, as opposed to just replacing the old hard drive entirely with a new one
