  1. Windows won't let me have multiple windows open on top of each other

I'm not sure how to describe this concisely, so please bear with me.

Whenever I open a new window, Windows opens it maximized and won't layer it on top of other windows.

For example, if I have my browser open and I try to open Notepad, it will open as a full screen window. When I make it so the note is not maximized Restore Down?? it will appear on top of my background instead of being able to view it layered on top of my browser. If open the browser, and then the note again, it will reopen as a maximized window without taking into account that I previously made it smaller.

This is really annoying. It makes my laptop feel like a tablet. This is going to hurt my productivity, as I like to have multiple windows open on top of each other, so this feature will be frustrating to constantly navigate. How do I disable it?

PS: I apologize for the spammy-looking display name. I couldn't find an available one that I liked.

    :)

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
