Discus and support Windows Won't Update 0x80080005 in Windows 10 Installation and Upgrade to solve the problem; Can anyone help me fix this?     Can anyone help me fix this? I think not being able to update my PC has hindered my ability to run Microsoft Defender Antivirus. Please help!

    Sorry? Have you got the correct Tweaking .com's repair tool? Or followed the steps to the end where you actually do the numbered repairs?

    It guides you through stages of preparation, then you perform the repairs in Safe Mode.

    Of course, you can just go to Safe Mode, launch the program, and directly run the repairs, missing the preparation... not the best of ideas. It's designed to give you ways of going back if something goes wrong by creating a restore point, registry backup... then doing the repairs.
