Windows 10: winlogon.exe won't open

When I'm trying to open winlogon.exe, nothing happens! Is it supposed to be opened like that and my computer has a problem, or am I just doing something wrong?

Winlogon.exe Error

So today I decided to reset my Acer Aspire Nitro laptop. I clicked to start fresh and the reset started. Some time later I came back and there was a massage that said thar he couldnt delete everything so I clicked on the only option which was "Got it" and
next thing that pops up is this error message:

Winlogon.exe - Application Error

The instruction at 0x00007FFD64F0B4C0 referenced memory at 0x00007FFD64F0B4C0. The memory could not br written.

Click on OK to determinate the program.

So then when I click "OK" nothing happens and I only see black screen with cursor.

 

what are the background processes which MUST run at startup? After startup while computer is in use?

winlogon.exe

svchost.exe – (There will be a few of these)

services.exe

 

winlogon.exe is the actual logon screen, it should always be running in the background. winlogon owns the ctrl+alt+del key combonation, so when you press that combo you activate winlogon.exe. You can't launch a secon winlogon process
