Windows 10: WINWORD.EXE Application Error 0xc0000142

When I try to open a word document up comes a bright orange/red 'Installing Office Update - Please wait.' notice. I wait until this clears then up comes 'WINWORD.EXE - Application Error 0xc0000142 I close this and try to open my word file and the whole procedure repeats.


What is the solution please??

I can't open anything. I get WINWORD.EXE- Application Error 0xc0000142. Please help me

 

Application error after Windows 10 update

After the April 11, 2018 Windows 10 update, no Microsoft Office applications will work.

There error reads "WINWORD.EXE - Application Error: The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142). Click OK to close the application."

All Microsoft Office applications worked without issue prior to the update. Any suggestion or advice on fixing this other than uninstalling and reinstalling office?
